Luther “Buddy” Lott, Jr. – President and Chief Executive Officer
Buddy has been with Lott Oil since he was a young man attending Northwestern State University. He soon followed in the footsteps of his father, Luther Lott, Sr., and took over the family business becoming president in 1979. Buddy served on the Louisiana Oil Marketers and Convenience Store Association for a number of years, including a term as its president in 2008. He previously served on the Chevron Texaco National Distributor Advisory Council and also the Mobil™ Distributor Advisory Board. Buddy is an avid fisherman and enjoys spending time with his family.
Kim Lott – Senior Vice President
At Lott Oil, Kim oversees payroll, Lott Gaming Operations, and licenses and renewals. She has been with the company for over 40 years. Kim attended Northwestern State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in social work. She enjoys traveling with her family and sitting down with a good book.
Dan Broderick – Chief Financial Officer
With over 35 years of experience with Lott Oil, Dan is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the financial accounting system. He ensures effective internal controls are in place to guarantee compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and regulatory laws. Dan manages processes to make sure accurate information is recorded in the accounting system and creates the reports necessary to communicate to the board of directors all results of company operations and financial conditions. Also, he acts as a trustee to direct and oversee company employee’s benefit plans to include 401k, health reimbursement accounts, etc. Dan received degrees in Accounting, Computer Science, Computer Technology, and Aviation Science from Northwestern State University. When not working with Lott Oil, Dan spends time as a stable hand at Thunder Run Ranch as well as a flight instructor.
Mark Massia – Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Mark is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Lott Oil Company. He ensures effective procedures and plans are in place for both the wholesale and retail side of the company. Mark attended Northwestern State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and Louisiana Tech University where he received his MBA. When not spending time with his wife and kids, Mark enjoys watching sports, being on the river, and sipping on a good glass of bourbon.
Sam Cedars – Director of Retail Operations
With over 30 years of experience in the retail industry, Sam is responsible for customer service satisfaction, quality, and the overall appearance of Lott Oil’s retail locations. He also covers building profitable sales, setting policies and procedures, and maintaining company expectations through execution and accountability. Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife Frances and son Landon. He also enjoys playing the guitar, going to the gym, and cheering on his son’s baseball team.

Butch Parnell – Director of Sales
As Director of Sales, Butch has been vital to continuing a longstanding tradition of customer loyalty and executing sales policies and practices that increase satisfaction. He oversees commercial, wholesale and retail fuel, and lube sales throughout Lott Oil’s complete territory. His duties include hiring and training team members, developing key strategic sales strategies, evaluating and adjusting performance, as well as developing processes that drive sales and strategic marketing objectives while managing budgets. Prior to joining the team over ten years ago, Butch was with Coca-Cola for 15 years. When he is not relaxing at the lake, Butch enjoys spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and traveling.
Steven Solomon – Director of Accounting
In his role as Director of Wholesale Accounting, Steven ensures customers’ orders are fulfilled quickly and efficiently. He oversees companywide purchasing while also monitoring inventory levels. Prior to his work with Lott Oil, he was with the Natchitoches Parish School Board where he served as the Director of Business Affairs. Steven received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwestern State University. Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Tori and their three children, Gavin, Zoey, and Liam.
